Where the natural ends and the supernatual begins…

What scares you

Apparently the rest room is needed in the after life!!

I always love being awoken by my ghostly tenants in the middle of the night. As all hallows eve approaches is it quiet customary for the spirits in my home to make their presence known. It is said, this time of year is when the veil between the living and the dead is at it’s thinest and weakest.

Originally the custom of dressing up and putting out craved pumpkins wasn’t a hallmark holiday. These things were done for protection from the evil spirits that preyed on the living and our passed ancestors. It was a tradition in old times to leave a plate of food for any of the persons deceased relatives that may visit on this sacred holiday as a welcoming gesture, a carved pumpkin was placed by the door to scare off unwanted and evil spirits, but that is another story to be told another day.

This entry in particular pertains to the ghostly activities that occurred in my home this past evening. The witching hour in my home is typically 4-5 am. In old times 3 am was considered the witching hour. With daylight savings time in my area it is quiet possible that this is still accurate. One can never tell anymore. Some time ago I had installed a remote alarm above my son’s door to alert me if he is up perusing the house at night. This particular evening my son was at his grandmothers house for the weekend.

I retired as per usual around 11 Pm The house was quiet, everyone sleeping soundly in their beds. Around 4: 45Am, I was awoken by the alarm for my son’s room. I woke realizing I had forgotten to turn it off. As I stood to get out of bed the alarm sounded once more, which is customary if someone enters the bathroom then leaves, as the restroom door is adjacent to my son’s and with in range of the alarm. I reached for the alarm and turned off the switch as I listened to what I thought was my mother returning to her bedroom which is also upstairs.

I let my dog out to use the bathroom, still hearing the footsteps above me. Once everything quieted down I returned to my bedroom.

The next morning I conferred with my family only to realize that everyone was asleep. I heard the the alarm sound a few times and random footsteps. II guess even ghosts need bathroom breaks on occasion.

For our next few posts I’d like some of your input!

Paranormal Witness

For anyone that does not know about this show, its not too bad.
Its like a paranormal reality show with actual accounts from the people involved.
Check for it on your local cable station and give it a shot.

Lizzie Borden took an axe….

and gave her mother fourty whacks, when she saw what she had done she gave her father fourty one!

Who doesn’t know this creepy child’s rhyme? Even though it was highly over exaggerated it did stem from truth. Her mother Abby was left with 19 and her father Andrew suffered 10 blows as he napped.

On August 4th 1892 the parents of Lizzie Borden were brutally murdered in their Victorian home in Fall River Massachusetts.

Andrew Borden, not born into wealth, worked hard to work his way up the corporate ladder finally reaching the top as the president of the Union Savings Bank and director of the Durfee Safe Deposit and Trust Co.

His daughter’s Lizzie and Emma often described him as tight fisted and cheap. Lizze often complained that the wealthy family should own a home high on the hill, (in the Victorian era the higher you were on the hill showed just how wealthy you really were) yet they lived at the bottom of the hill beside the poor. Many motives came about throughout the years such as she killed them for money, or her step mother Abby found out she was a lesbian, all was found to be hear say and Lizzie was acquitted of the murders on June 20, 1893.

Back to present day, the home is now restored, to it’s original glory, the paper mill gone and most of the property that was attached then has been sold off as well, but the home is now open to the public as a popular bed and breakfast.

Which brings me to the reason for this post, The picture posed is one that I took. When I married my first husband (yes it became plural lol) we stayed here on our honeymoon. While most people are obsessed with staying in the rooms where the murders took place, I wanted to sleep where the killer slept lol. Yes I have always said I was nuts lol.

Anyway, during my stay I took pictures of everything, the furniture, the wall paper, you name it but there was one picture that caught my attention when I took it. I was being a smart arse and decided to take a picture of myself in the mirror in one of the rooms, when I got the prints back I saw I was removed from the picture, gone completely and that a ghostly image (to me looks like a cat lol) had taken my place! I want you to examine the picture and tell me what you think!!!

I found some comments on reedit! First off thank you 333unwanted and 808lisa93 for the link back! It’s very appreciated! I have always said everyone is more than welcome to ask questions or leave comments! To clarify, this picture was taken in 1999. was I standing directly in front, as you can see yes I am about a half a step to the left. Never in my mind did I imagine the outcome of the photo, therefore I did not worry about the logistics of where I was standing, because I never thought I would find a ghost in my picture! Regardless of my stance, the image reflected in the mirror is clearly something, it could no be a flash as I was using a disposable camera and the flash shows a whitish yellow color. I will be more than happy to post other pictures where the flash is clearly visible! Please, if you have questions or comments, they are all valuable to me, they will be answered no matter what the question may be!!

Awsome…just awesome.

Sick as a dog with some kinda flu / virus, but this made my day.

Happy Friday the 13th!

I know I haven’t really talked on a personal level but I’m going to give it a shot!

So this week has been hell if you ask me lol, I’m pretty sure either a demon possed me or someone had been casting spells against my emotions, because this week, let me tell you, the world is lucky we didn’t witness a few deaths! After a protection spell I feel much better! Now if it is a spell caster, I feel sorry for him or her because it’s all coming back to them now! So if you know who’s up to these shenanigans, tell em to quit it cause someone’s going to get hurt. lol Just kidding.

For three days I felt pure evil, I had no control over myself what so ever! I had my thoughts but could not control my physical actions. The anger and rage I felt was not coming from me this is for sure! I actually hissed at people.  Maybe it’s just the forces at play on this holiday, who knows! All I know is I’m better now. 😀

I do know the spirits have been going buck wild trying to contact both me and my mother. Apparently we are finding out that July 19th is a date set in stone that something is going to happen, according to my great great grandmother my brother is pending a heart attack on this day. I hope to God she is wrong and this is just more “other” magic at play. I won’t know until then so I guess I’ll just have to ride the wave and wait.

This week has been awful, it started out with me attempting to dye my hair a deep red, the front bangs are now pink, going to have this fixed Monday. lol 😀

So while I am dreading next week’s news I have been trying to prepare for it. What else can I do right!? As for now, have a happy 13th and remember:

Unless you want to meet Jason Vorhees that is!

Happy hauntings!
